About us

The name Vintergatan (Swedish for the Milky Way) comes from an early passion for astrophotography. Since then the business has grown, and today it covers everything from weddings and portraits to corporate work, events and film production. Precision and an eye for detail are a natural part of every project.

Vintergatan Media combines creative image-making with technical expertise in both drones and video production, with one goal: photos and films of the highest quality.

Vintergatan Media is a production company working with photo, video and drones. We are based in Gothenburg, but happily travel wherever the job takes us.

Our work is driven by a love of technology and a curiosity about people and their stories. For us it is not about perfect poses, but about photos and films that feel relaxed, thoughtful and true to the moment.

Behind the camera

Aykut is a photographer and videographer based in Gothenburg, with more than eight years of experience in photo and video. He works with stills, video and drones alike, and is used to adapting to all kinds of assignments.

He holds a drone licence and also flies FPV drones. Aykut races in the Sweden Drone Cup, and his passion for technology shows in everything he does. Alongside the creative work, he works with self-driving systems as an AI expert and has a strong interest in science, especially physics. He holds a PhD in physics from the University of Gothenburg and is the author of the textbook Simulations of Complex Systems.

Whatever the assignment, it is about creating a relaxed atmosphere on location and delivering photos and films that feel thoughtful and personal.
