Photo and wedding film in one, without paying twice
Most couples want both photos and film from their big day. That usually means two teams and a price tag that quickly adds up. We do it in a smarter way.
With the latest camera technology and a well-planned workflow, one technically skilled photographer can cover both. During the preparations, first look, reception, portraits, dinner and party, we switch seamlessly between photo and video. During the ceremony, a fixed camera on a tripod also films everything, while we move around capturing photos and video sequences with two cameras.
Fewer people moving among the guests also makes the day calmer. Your ceremony should feel like your day, not a film shoot.

This is how a full day with us usually unfolds, illustrated with photos from some of the weddings we have covered. Every wedding is unique, so we plan the timeline together with you before the day.

We arrive in good time and capture the hair, make-up, dress, suit and all the little details. We also take the chance to film the venue, the table settings and the surroundings from the air.

First look & couple portraits
A quiet moment for the two of you before the guests arrive. If time gets tight, we do the first look after the ceremony instead, and you still get the photos and the film.

The ceremony
A fixed camera with wireless microphones films the whole ceremony, while we photograph and film with two cameras. Every vow and every tear is captured in both picture and sound. You can also choose two filmed angles of the entire ceremony, and thanks to 6K, even stills taken from the film are high quality.

Reception & group photos
Congratulations, hugs and laughter. We capture the atmosphere as it happens and take the group photos you asked for, quickly and smoothly, so you have time to be with your guests.

Dinner, speeches & toasts
Every speech is filmed in full by a fixed camera with good sound, while we move among the tables. We coordinate with the toastmaster so that no speech is missed.

Cake & first dance
The cake, the first dance and the first steps on the dance floor. We bring our own lighting, so even a dark venue looks great in photos and film.

We capture your day in a warm, natural style, with considered composition that puts the two of you in focus, softly separated from the background.
Most important of all is that you feel relaxed. Many couples worry about feeling stiff in front of the camera. We guide you through every moment, how to stand, how to move and where the light is best, so the photos look beautiful without feeling staged. A little humour breaks the ice, so we capture the genuine joy and the butterflies.
Drones at your wedding
Drone footage that makes your wedding film unique
We are expert drone pilots who compete in drone racing, so we don't settle for the classic overview shots. With small, advanced drones we can fly indoors, sweep closely past details and follow the reception up close, or start outside the venue and fly straight in through the door.

Editing that stays true to your memories
Your photos are memories for life. That is why we always edit as naturally as possible: we adjust light, colour and contrast and remove distracting details in the background, but keep the feeling exactly as it was.

Our name, Vintergatan, is Swedish for the Milky Way and comes from our love of astrophotography. We often invite our wedding couples on one of our astro outings, where we head out into the dark, photograph the starry sky and the Milky Way, and spend an evening together far from the city lights.
A memory out of the ordinary, and perhaps one of the most beautiful portraits you will ever have.
FAQ
Questions we often get about wedding photography and film
Do we need to book both a photographer and a videographer?
No. With us, the same person photographs and films all day. During the ceremony we add a fixed camera on a tripod and wireless microphones, so nothing is missed. You get both photos and a wedding film for a much lower price than two separate teams.
When do we get our wedding photos?
You get all unedited photos and an AI selection of the best ones in an online gallery within 24 to 48 hours. Edited photos and the highlight film are delivered within 4 to 6 weeks.
How do booking and cancellation work?
You sign a contract and pay a 30 percent booking fee, and the date is yours. You can cancel free of charge up to 90 days before the wedding. The remaining amount is paid 10 days before the wedding.
Do we get all the raw material from the wedding?
Yes. You get all unedited photos and all video clips, including the ceremony and speeches in full. At handover we copy everything to your own hard drive.
Can you fly a drone indoors at the wedding?
Yes, if the venue allows it. We have small, safe drones with propeller guards that can fly close to guests and in through a door or window. We always check the airspace and any restrictions in advance.
What if the schedule runs late?
It happens at most weddings, and we handle it. We always arrive with margin and adapt to the day. If dinner runs long, you can choose to add extra hours on the spot.
Does it work in a dark venue or in the evening?
Yes. We photograph the night sky in our spare time, so darkness is home ground for us. We use cameras that excel in low light and bring our own lighting to the party.
Do you use AI when editing the photos?
We use AI as a tool, for example to pick the sharpest photos from a burst, to transcribe the ceremony and speeches, and to remove a distracting object in the background. The editing itself and the cutting of the film are always done by us.
